CWGC Venray War Cemetery Adoption Graves Foundation
General
In mei 2020 is de Stichting Adoptiegraven CWGC Venray War Cemetery opgericht. Het doel van de stichting is het in stand houden van de nagedachtenis van de militairen die hun laatste rustplaats hebben gevonden op het CWGC Venray War Cemetery. De stichting tracht haar doel onder meer te verwezenlijken door:
- To offer interested parties the opportunity to adopt the grave of a fallen soldier;
- Setting up a database to store the details of adopted graves;
- Establishing and maintaining contacts with relatives of fallen soldiers;
- Maintaining contact with (former) adopters;
- Maintaining contacts with other stakeholders such as the Municipality of Venray, the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and the consul of the cemetery.
